Uxbridge has a whole range of multi-agency security measures and capabilities, all of which are designed to ensure you have a fantastic experience at the 2024 Uxbridge Christmas lights switch-on event and at any other time you visit our wonderful town.
Security has always been a priority for the Uxbridge business community, and we are very proud of our strong partnership approach and the relationships within that, with organisations such as the Local Policing Team, British Transport Police and our ever-present local CCTV.
Uxbridge Business Improvement District recently hosted a tabletop exercise to examine our joint emergency plans. The tabletop exercise was attended by the local business community, the Local Policing Team, Transport For London, London Fire Brigade, NHS and London Ambulance service, Hillingdon Council Emergency Planning and CCTV, military staff from nearby RAF Northholt and commercial security specialists.
The tabletop exercise was planned and delivered by a member of the Register of Security Engineers and Specialists (RSES) and really emphasised the power of partnership working.
Uxbridge Business Improvement District manager, Mike Crane, said “along with our collective security measures that are in place (some visible and some less visible), this exercise has really helped ensure our visitors to Uxbridge have a fantastic and safe experience”.
