Green Spaces in Uxbridge
We are lucky to have a variety of beautiful green spaces in and around Uxbridge. The following are within a short walking distance of Uxbridge town centre:
Fassnidge Park
Fassnidge is a traditional Edwardian formal park which covers four acres and offers a bowling green, tennis courts, playground and skate park. It also provides horticultural interest, with features including shrub beds, ornamental planting and mature trees.
The bandstand and children's play area have been refurbished and new features include a kiosk and water play feature. In addition, they have a great local café ‘The Rusty Bike’ selling teas, coffees cakes and delicious bacon sandwiches.

Rockingham Recreation Ground
A 4.8-hectare recreation ground in Hillingdon on the waterways. There is outdoor gym equipment for adults and a children’s playground to keep the little ones amused.

Colne Valley
The Colne Valley Regional Park is the first substantial taste of countryside to the west of London. The Park, founded in 1965, stretches from Rickmansworth in the north to Staines and the Thames in the south, and from Uxbridge and Heathrow in the east, to Slough and Chalfont St Peter in the west.
A mosaic of farmland, woodland & water with 200 km of rivers, canals and over 60 lakes.
The Colne Valley Regional Park, formed in 1965, stretches from Rickmansworth in the north, to Staines and the Thames in the south, Uxbridge and Heathrow in the east, to Slough and Chalfont in the west. Covering 43 square miles the landscape is a mix of bustling towns, green spaces and waterways which are the first taste of countryside immediately west of London.
The Colne Valley Community Interest Company aims to highlight this fantastic and varied area, its history, rich landscape and biodiversity. Many people live, work and visit the Colne Valley, but too few realise it forms part of a vibrant regional park.

Black Park
Black Park covers over 500 acres of woodland, heathland and open space in South Buckinghamshire. With family friendly attractions, such as the adventure playground and Go Ape, miles of beautiful woodland tracks and trails, and opportunities for wildlife spotting, the park offers something for everyone to enjoy. Did you know Black Park has a rich filming history and is often used as a location for both big and small productions. Including Harry Potter, Cinderella, Star Wars, Captain America: The First Avenger, multiple James Bond films and many more!
