Recycle-a-Bike is the only independent bike shop in Uxbridge that offers a full range of cycle repair/services, New Kona Bikes, New Tern Bikes, fully refurbished used cycles and a large array of new accessories.
RAB has been proud to play a key role in the local community over the last 15 years and during this time helped many residents back into employment and produced 100’s of affordable cycles that may have ended up at landfill.
RAB has expanded and launched The Rusty Bike Cycle Cafe in Fassnidge Park and operates a secondary store on behalf of GlaxoSmithkline in Brentford. RAB has 5 paid employees and around 20 active volunteers at any one time.
Our recent move to Rockingham parade next to Fassnidge park has been a very positive one, it's a relaxing place to work every day, and it's amazing to see the change of seasons right in front of your eyes.
Our Rusty Bike cafe offers park users locally roasted espresso, a range of locally homemade cakes and snacks which opens 7 days a week. Cafe users can sit outside and watch the day float by in the sunshine, or nice and toasty inside when the weather's bad.
During this current world wide pandemic we are doing our very best to stay afloat, like all small independent companies it is a very challenging time with uncertainty of what the future holds.
We are lucky as cycle shops are allowed to still operate under the class of essential services so RAB continues to be open as normal with a skeleton staff and strict social distancing measures for the safety of both staff and customers.
RAB is offering all NHS workers free basic repairs that will take priority in the workshop to help keep these amazing people’s bikes rolling along, so it’s at least one thing they don't have to worry about!
