Message on COVID-19 from the BID Police Officer, PC Liam Harmon:

Firstly, a big thank you to all of you who have embraced this unprecedented challenge. Every business has helped ensure Uxbridge can be as safe as it can be during this time. For those businesses that are closed please feel reassured that I am ensuring there are routine patrols through Uxbridge paying attention to closed premises making sure they are locked and secure. For those businesses that are still open providing those essential services, please continue the great work I have witnessed the last few weeks with all the safety measures you have adopted. I have managed to secure extra resources to police the BID zone during the month of April and in the last few weeks we have been engaging with the public within the BID zone to adhere to the social distancing measures that have been advised. I am pleased to say we have only felt the need to issue 4 fines to repeat offenders. If you have any issues I urge you to contact me by email and I will come and see you the next time I am on duty. In an emergency call 999. I also advertise what we are doing in Uxbridge on Twitter so give me a follow on @MPSUxbridgeTC. Thank you again and stay safe!
